This week we’ve taken a closer look at more than 36,000 influencers, checked in Hype Auditor and found the average engagement rate that can be used to evaluate influencers. First of all, we divided all influencers into six Tiers, depending on their followers count.

There is no single standard pricing in the influencer marketing industry. Each influencer decides on how much they charge for the collaboration on a case-by-case basis. Moreover, this amount is not fixed. For the same post, they may ask for $3,000 today, and $5,000 tomorrow. This is not a made-up example, but a real case from our experience.

Each year businesses lose millions of dollars on collaborations with fake followers. According to the State of the Influencer Marketing Research 2022, about 50% of influencers are involved in fraud. But there are several ways to detect if an influencer has fake followers among their audience. But before we start, let’s figure out what fake followers are?
